GO GLOBAL WINS FUNDING FROM THE MAYOR’S OFFICE

WASHINGTON DC – GO GLOBAL has been awarded a grant from the DC Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs (MOLA) Community Development Grant Program for its Tell Your Money Story Masterclass Series. This is a financial storytelling and educational program geared towards expanding financial inclusion opportunities for the residents of the Greater Washington DC area, particularly those in the Latino community. This investment will allow GO Global to continue its efforts which began in summer 2021 with the launch of the Tell Your Money Story series that was in partnership with The Latino Economic Development Corporation. The Tell Your Money Story program will reopen to the public early 2022.

“Washington, DC is stronger because of the diversity of our community – including a growing and vibrant Latino population. We look forward to partnering with these community organizations on a robust and equitable recovery that gives more residents a fair shot.”

-  Mayor Muriel Bowser, Mayor Washington DC

"This award is a recognition of GO Global's cutting edge work in using compelling storytelling to stimulate businesses capabilities in the local and creative economy of Washington DC. We are excited for this opportunity to provide businesses with access to funding opportunities, improve their financial literacy, and make a lasting impact on the barriers to critical financial success."

- John-Ubong Silas, VP Government Relations at GO Global

“GO Global is pleased to respond to the Mayor’s priority for the creative economy via our Tell Your Money Story Series. This program will specifically help targeted populations acquire the financial literacy tools and information needed to recover faster from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
